Woman Gives Birth After Running (And Walking) Marathon

9.8km - 59.20 min - cool, intermittent light rain, bit of wind.

Here is a wonderful story from last Sunday's Chicago marathon: Amber Miller ran and walked the marathon in 6 hours 25 minutes while being 39 weeks pregnant. It was during the race that she felt contractions, and soon after finishing she went into labour givng birht to a healthy baby girl June.

It was her seventh marathon. She consulted her doctors before taking part in the race and never stopped training before the Big Day. On doctors' advice she ran half the distance and walked half, alternating 2 mile ran-walk stretches.

"For me, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. I was running up until that point anyway," she told Associated Press news agency.
Hail Amber!
