It's 6 o'clock in the morning, the dogs are jumping and barking in excitement expecting their morning run, but it is pouring with rain outside and I think perhaps I'd rather go for a run at lunchtime.
But Nala and Strelka look so eager to hit the road that I give in and we go off.
Strange thing: as soon as we are outside the rain stops. We have a very relaxed run, come back home, I pour myself a tall glass of water and a fresh cup of coffee and the dogs have their warmed-up milk. And just as we all settle down the rain starts banging again on the glass roof of the veranda.
It feels good to be encouraged by nature itself, if only occasionally.
